Renewed Or Cancelled?
As the year comes to an end, Disney+ Korea has treated fans to a new kind of crime thriller series with Connect. The series also premiered at 27th Busan International Film Festival in the “Onscreen Section” in October this year where the first three episodes of the show were screened. Now, two months after that, the Sci-Fi crime thriller premiered its first season on Disney+ around the world. With fans raving over Jung Hae-in and Ko Gyung-pyo’s notable performances on the show, there has been some chatter online about the K-drama’s renewal for a second season. After finishing the six episodes of its first season, you may be wondering if the Jung Hae-in starrer, Connect has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:

Has Connect been renewed for Season 2?
Fans of the K-drama Connect recently watched the first season of the show on Disney+ and are now coming up with their own theories about the show. After watching how Season 1 Episode 6 of Connect ends, we can be sure that despite having no official confirmation from the makers, Connect is surely coming back for a Season 2. Officially, the show has not been renewed for a second season yet. However, the season finale of Connect gives fans something to anticipate from Season 2 when it is eventually renewed. So far there has not been an official statement about the show from Disney+, Studio Dragon or the producers but there is a possibility to see the mini-series be renewed for a second season that will could be released in 2023.
What we know about Connect Season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about Season 2 at the point of writing this article. However, if fans were to take off from how Season 1 Episode 6 of Connect ends, there are a lot of unanswered questions that could be answered in Season 2. We will hopefully be able to see if Jin-seop and Z turn into Connects despite being mortal humans. Fans barely know anything about Dong-soo and Yi-rang’s origin and the questions about how Connects were created could be answered in the upcoming season. The show also ended with Dong-soo and Yi-rang being stopped by the SWAT helicopters so there is a possibility that the Connects could have been taken into the custody of the South Korean government. Of course, Disney+ will soon release more updates about the show but we’ll be sure to update this page in the future when more information is known though!
