Renewed Or Cancelled?
First Class is the latest reality TV series on Netflix, set deep in the heart of Barcelona and following rich socialites as they go about their days. If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this one’s been renewed or cancelled. Well, read ahead and we’ll let you know what we know so far about a renewal.
What is First Class about?
First Class depicts a group of people living their best lives in a “non-stop party” as they go about their jobs, setting up parties and hang out. There’s Alex Agullo, who works in PR and communications. He gets on well with Lucia, who is described as a “classy thug” early on. However, she actually has a pretty tragic backstory, which is explored more across the season. There’s also Zaida Marquez, an interior designer, Marc Patsu, an art broker, and the infamous Archie, who boasts about stealing his mother’s credit card to pay for a trip. Make of that what you will. Rounding out this group is Aldo Comas, an artist who lives out in the countryside on his farm. We have coverage of First Class on the site, including a full season review. You can check that out HERE.
Has First Class been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, First Class has not been renewed for a second season. Given the ending though, there’s certainly room for a sequel should Netflix decide to greenlight this one. Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate per episode. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars). Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future. Regardless of ratings though, reality TV has a good record on ‘Flix with renewals, given Selling Sunset and Bling Empire have both been going for multiple seasons. Based on that and Netflix’s track record, we’re predicting that First Class will be renewed for a second season. We’ll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel. However, if the streaming giants do renew this one, you can probably expect more of the same in a follow up. Expect plenty of sun-soaked parties, drinking and all the usual reality TV shenanigans between these characters. As mentioned above, we’re under the impression that there will be a season 2. We will aim to update this page when more information becomes available! Would you like to see First Class return for a second season? Or do you think the story has run its course now?
