Celeste’s Trump Card Much has been said about Big Little Lies this week in the mainstream news. The boy informs Crazy Dog about the big plan they have in place to leave. Moon-Kang smiles evilly and likens them all to hares and decides to let him leave. He’s going to hunt them down one by one....

Blind Episode 8 Blind tells the story of three people; Ryu Sung Joon an enthusiastic detective, Ryu Sung Hoon a judge and Jo Eun Ki a social worker. These three find themselves involved in a prolific serial murder case. TaecYeon is part of the cast too, while Ha Seok-Jin and Jung Eun-Ji also round out an impressive casting. To Your House Episode 7 of Bocchi The Rock begins with Kita and Nijika heading for Bocchi’s house since it’s summer break. They plan to visit her house to craft some t-shirt designs. Nijika explains that Ryo couldn’t join them because her grandmother got ill. However, Nijika says Ryo likes to conjure lies to escape specific events. Kita and Nijika arrive at Bocchi’s, and she welcomes them with a popper while wearing a silly disguise....

Piece of Cake Episode 1 of Buddy Daddies begins with a car chase between a male and the mafia. The two factions split off, but the man leads the gang toward a dead end. The mafia leader tells his employer to keep calm and for his driver to run over the man that chased them down. The driver shoots the leader and reveals themselves to be working with their enemy. The driver happens to be working for an agency....

But Young-seo overhears this. Though she pretends she’s fine, Seong-hoon can tell this deeply upsets her. Does Tae-moo get along with Ha-ri’s parents? Ha-ri’s mother is suspicious of Ha-ri’s whereabouts last night. When she sees Tae-moo drop her daughter off in the morning, she scolds both of them. When she calms down, everyone has lunch together to celebrate Young-seo’s birthday. Tae-moo says he wants to date and marry Ha-ri. Much like its characters that inhabit the gorgeous forests of the American Northwest, ‘Captain Fantastic’ is a beautifully written, intellectually challenging film hidden from the masses making it somewhat of an unknown film. Its a shame because its one of the best films from 2016 – one that asks questions not only of its characters but also of modern day culture and what it means to be a parent. The film follows troubled father Ben (Viggo Mortensen) who’s world is turned upside down when his wife dies and leaves him in care of their six children off the grid in the forests of America....

While the plot keeps the big questions hanging over every meticulously crafted scene, at times the show feels a little pretentious with its execution, bloating the run-time unnecessarily with a few episodes that fail to progress the storyline and ending on a highly controversial and open-ended scene to close the season out....

Dreams Episode 6 of Castlevania begins with Lenore clapping as Hector is dressed and her plan slowly comes to fruition. Bit by bit she’s gaining his trust and suggests they go out for a walk together. Only, Striga’s condition is him being leashed to avoid running away. Reluctantly agreeing to her terms, they stand together and look out at the beauty before them. As they talk, high above them Carmilla and Striga listen to their conversation, talking about the beating he endured....

From Russia with Flaws The word masterpiece gets thrown around a lot but 2019’s Chernobyl lives up to that title. Gripping, suspenseful and absolutely dread-inducing, the six-part series accurately and comprehensively broke down this disaster. So how do you top that? The answer is, you don’t. Fast forward two years and Russian movie Chernobyl 1986 only reinforces how true this statement is. With a laborious pace, a lackluster romance and some so-so action set pieces, 1986 essentially uses the Chernobyl disaster as a backdrop for its romance....

Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 1 In a completely shocking revelation, season 10 of Chicago Fire didn’t end on a big cliffhanger! Instead, the focus was mostly centered around Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide’s wedding. The Epidemic of Amnesia in South Korean Dramas Crash Landing On You is shaping up to be an enjoyable and fun drama to watch every weekend. The story is advancing at decent speed and the characters are all very likable. This Korean drama manages to serve up the right balance between the humour around both countries but also showing some seriousness while depicting the differences between the two cultures. We begin with a flashback of Se-Ri over the years and how she became successful before returning to the present in North Korea where Se-Ri starts flirting, thinking she can get her way with Captain Ri....
