Devil Is In The Details Episode 1 of The Devil Judge begins in Seoul with chaos gripping the streets. Korea is consumed in a perpetual state of despair, with placards reading “virus” and fire rising angrily in the streets. Seizing this opportunity, the Social Responsibility Foundation send out a press conference. Joong-Se promises to bring Korea back, with a power shift allowing the whole nation to participate as jurors. In other words, court cases are going to be televised....

Chapter Four ‘One always leaves traces behind,’ is where we rejoin Chung, Hsin-Yu and Ouyang Kai. Episode 4 of The Devil Punisher begins with our characters tossed from Mr Hong’s office as Hsin-Yu asks Chung to look at the past to get a line on what happened. Ouyang Kai enthusiastically jumps on it, annoying Chung but not deterring him. ‘I hope this is the last time,’ he responds. Uh-huh. He turns back time and all three are able to observe the situation....

Oyedeng Episode 7 of The Expanse Season 5 begins with Naomi reminiscing over moments with Filip as a young child on Pallas. She isn’t the only one reminiscing though, as Marco arrives before Filip and asks him for a favour. He wants to use Naomi’s ship as bait for Holden and the others, intending to kill off the biggest threat to his Free Navy. For now though, Marco heads down to visit Naomi in her cell....

Joseph starts singing Do-young’s praises and tries to convince Ji-eun to date him instead of Nam-jin or Woo-min. Meanwhile, Nam-jin is eating alone at his regular restaurant and thinks about his breakup with Ji-eun the last time he was there. Woo-min’s friend asks him to start working full-time for the VIPs and generate enough funds so that he can put his photos up for an exhibition. At work, Ji-eun apologises to Ms Oh for causing trouble and getting the JD Photoshoot cancelled....

Ji-eun accepts the challenge and promises to make things work. Seon-ho is concerned about Woo-min’s recent behaviour as he avoids talking about Ji-eun’s rejection. She consoles her friend when Woo-min finally breaks down and it helps him feel better now. Ji-eun is trying to act normal now that she is dating Nam-jin again and the Rublani CEO gifts his girlfriend exclusive Manolo Blahnik heels. She is initially overwhelmed but jokes that gifting one’s partner heels means allowing them the opportunity to run away....

The series itself is deliberately paced too, taking its time to really dive into the heart of the drama as it switches from the lush forest setting to the suburban town nearby throughout the 6 episodes....

Do-young spots Jae-joon watching over Ha Ye Sol and they get into a confrontation. Do-young asks Jae-joon what he is planning to do. He tells him that he no longer wishes to find Myeong Oh because he has learnt the reason he sent the letter....

Building Character After yesterday’s exciting opening chapter, The King: Eternal Monarch slows down this time around, adding extra comedy and romance into the fold while allowing the characters to grow into their roles. With less time jumping and a lot more back and forth between Tae-Eul and Lee-Gon, this Korean drama slows its pace down in favour of adding extra depth to proceedings. Episode 2 of The King: Eternal Monarch begins with Tae-Eul questioning Lee Gon over his greeting and requesting his ID card....

Lovesick Episode 9 of The King’s Affection begins with Ji-un awakening after the big kiss the previous night. He realizes he’s late and scrambles back into the palace. Hwi though, can’t stop thinking about the kiss either. When the pair reconvene over their study session, Ji-Un apologizes profusely but Hwi is forgiving, telling him they can just laugh it off together. As thanks for his help with the envoys, she hands over a box of candies....
