Episode Guide Capital R Rake Off to the Races A Been In Your Bonnet Victory An Unthinkable Fate The Choice Harmony The Viscount Who Loved Me When Bridgerton dropped on Netflix in 2020, it became a surprise pop sensation. With numerous award nominations, lavish costume design and a pretty big viewership, it came as no surprise to anyone in TV land that Netflix decided to renew this one. For anyone who read my season 1 review and subsequent recaps, I wasn’t wrapped up in the magic of it all....

Once Britannia settles into a rhythm, this visually stunning show does improve slightly but a distinct lack of big action and a cliffhanger ending act as the icing on a cake of disappointment....

Although Broken Age sets itself up like any other point and click adventure, the unique two-character set up and an excellent first act help this adventure game stand out. With gorgeous visuals and some impressive dubbing work, Broken Age is certainly a charming game but a directionless final third and some lacklustre puzzles hold this Indie title back from the great title it so easily could have been. The UI is well designed and locations colourful and vibrant The story splits between two characters that appear to have nothing in common....

Shin Ha-ri (Kim Se-jeong) struggles financially, so she readily accepts when her wealthy best friend Jin Young-seo (Seol In-ah) offers to pay her for a favor. Ha-ri goes on a blind date in Young-seo’s stead to try and scare off her suitor. But he turns out to be Ha-ri’s boss, Kang Tae-moo (Ahn Hyo-seop). When Tae-moo wants to keep dating the fake Young-seo, Ha-ri has to come up with a way to keep up the facade and keep her job....

A Trip To The Docks Screaming breaks the tranquility in episode 2 of Castlevania as hundreds of undead beasts march through the streets at Isaac’s command. They stop outside a shop, prompting Isaac to head in and ask for a specific item that could help him find Hector. Although the trader doesn’t have what he’s looking for, he does have a Distant Mirror which is just as good, allowing him to see Hector’s location in Styria atop an icy castle....

Choking How do you explain Choke? This challenging, unconventional arthouse picture feels designed to test what we’ve come to know and expect from the big screen. I like that. I like the audacious attempt to deliver something wholly different but it also comes at the expense of alienating a good portion of the filmgoing audience. When it comes to acquired tastes – Choke is about as close as you’ll get to that exact definition....

The Answer Who is the catfish? Episode 8 of Clickbait Season 1 sees this finale deliver one final twist – and it’s certainly a good one. Kai shows up at the catfish house where it’s revealed that it’s actually Dawn’s place! Who’s Dawn you ask? Well, she happens to be Nick’s assistant at the school. She and her husband Ed greet Kai warmly and let him in. As they do, the pair exchange knowing glances to one another....

While the mystery builds nicely and the relatively short run time keeps the series ticking along at a decent pace, there just isn’t enough here to help the show stand out from others in this genre. The characters are largely stereotypical, lacking unique personas to help them stand out in this glamorous, polished world....

Playing With Fire Episode 3 of Cobra Kai Season 5 starts with Silver warning Daniel about sabotaging his dojo. A stand-off inevitably ensues, with Silver telling them to stand down otherwise he’ll intensify the rivalry and bring some of his old friends into the fray. “You’re playing with fire, Danny boy.” Silver says, setting things up on an ominous note going forward. Meanwhile, Johnny heads over to Miguel’s for dinner, with the latter cooking for everyone....

Bobbi’s parents are getting a divorce, so she prepares to move out, and Frances offers her spare room. She moves in and apologizes about being judgmental about Nick. When Frances asks her, Bobbi says it’s fine if he comes over. Nick comes over to Frances’ apartment often once he gets back. He wonders if it’s strange for Bobbi, seeing her with him. He also calls what they have a “relationship,” which makes Frances happy....

Dog Star Swing Episode 3 of Cowboy Bebop starts with Spike on Mars, visiting an old friend. “I hear the sake is only good here when it rains,” He says. This is code, and the vendor is well aware of what this means. He hands over some chopsticks, with a message attached reading “Vicious Knows.” In order to get more info on this though, Spike needs to hang about on the planet....

At the BAU, Tara and Emily try to understand more about Tyler Green and why and how he found out Sicarius killed his sister. Given his training in the Army, Tara thinks he won’t talk to the authorities. Emily, on the other hand, believes there is a possibility of him talking to Garcia. Garcia asks him to trust her and let him help him but he refuses as he feels betrayed by her....

The Survivors 1888 – Our world Episode 2 of Dark Season 3 begins with Martha awakening in the Tannhaus factory in 1888 to find our world’s Jonas (The Stranger) sitting across the room. Stuffing an envelope in his pocket, he tells her to get dressed. As she steps out the room, Magnus, Fran and Bartosz all happen to be there too. They survived the apocalypse that’s consumed our world and jumped back to 1888....

A Disappointingly Bad Film With so many zombie films out there, it was always going to be hard for Day Of The Dead: Bloodline to stand out. Bloodline does stand out though, but for all the wrong reasons. Full of illogical character choices, poor acting and disappointing visual effects, Day Of The Dead: Bloodline is a poorly made zombie film that feels like a budget flick, despite the respectable budget of 8 million this film somehow uses....

Fame is a fickle food We begin episode 2 of Dickinson Season 2 with Emily determined to win the upcoming baking competition. Her Mother can taste a hint of egg in the mix but quickly dismisses it, telling Emily it doesn’t matter. Anyway, there’s more important matters to deal with given it’s the day of the Amherst Cattle Show. This is important for Edward and Mrs Dickinson alike given this gets Edward…excited....

A By-The-Numbers Thriller On paper, Netflix’s mystery thriller Earthquake Bird has quite the interesting story line. I must admit, it had me quite intrigued as I wondered how the movie would develop and deliver on its inevitable tense and thrilling moments. The answer is, it doesn’t. Earthquake Bird doesn’t quite reach the heights expected with other, more prolific psychological thrillers, failing to give us a decent narrative and feeling very slow and predictable through its run-time....
