In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream When it comes to memorable episodes, Beyond The Aquila Rift is one of my personal favourites in Love, Death & Robots. Not only is it well written and perfectly paced, the twist at the end, accompanied by a final lingering shot, are enough to provoke some serious chills and a desire to see this turned into a motion picture. The story has echoes of other classic sci-fi stories at work here but predominantly revolves around a crew, captained by a man named Thom....

The Chauffeur Love With Flaws returns for its Thursday edition of episodes with a deepening character study for both Kang and Seo-Yeon to deal with. As Min-Hyeok becomes more of a central character in the story and plenty of questions are left unanswered, Love With Flaws edges toward its midway point with much more of a romantic slant to proceedings as the comedy takes a backseat to this drama. The start of the episode picks up with Kang about to kiss Seo-Yeon until she grabs his cheek and pulls him away, telling him to stop being so cute....

The Divine Painter Episode 2 of Lovers of the Red Sky begins with King Sungjo haunted by Ma Wang’s presence, hidden within Ha-Ram. This is, of course, unknown to our King right now but the presence of the demonic entity is enough to unnerve him nevertheless. After the events of the previous chapter, we then cut forward 19 years later during the 28th year of King Sungjo’s reign. Cheon-Ki has her sight and she’s absolutely making the most of it, creating gorgeous paintings that inspire and surprise many....

Bathroom Blunder Episode 1 of Mad For Each Other begins with a familiar sight for anyone currently living in England. Rain. Lots and lots of rain. This leads to one mishap after another as Hwi-Oh reflects on his bad luck to Psychiatrist Han Jin-Young. She listens to his story and believes he has PTED. She also notices his bloodied knuckles too. This, as we soon find out, is a result of a run-in with an elevator door....

Fool Me Twice After 13 episodes of soap opera drama, a breadcrumb trail of little clues along the way and plenty of unanswered questions, Manifest attempts to deliver a thrilling finale which unfortunately turns hollow and underwhelming by season’s end, with no definitive answers and plenty of contradictory material to chew over. All of this builds up to yet another cliffhanger ending and the hopes that people tune in for season 3....

The Antidote With Melting Me Softly’s ending just around the corner, the show offers up even more drama and moves the story forward quite a bit, ready for the expected climactic ending. Mi-Ran and Dong-Chan are also fast becoming the serious couple here, while continuing to battle all their obstacles. We begin with Hyeong-Du about to kill Professor Hwang, but after remembering Ha-Young’s words, stops himself. Heading to the location given, he comes across an empty house....

His Fighting Power…It’s…Over 9000!!! After the heartbreaking end to last week’s episode, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t counting down the hours for Netflix to release the next chapter in this Korean drama. The seventh episode sees a change in pace and location as the series skips forward a year, bringing with it a fresh perspective and an intriguing new direction for this augmented reality sci-fi show. Jin Woo takes a far more central role this episode, bringing with it a clever use of editing and an absorbing narrative for good measure....

An Elephant and its door Episode 8 of Mine picks up right where we left off, with devastating news about Hi-Soo. She’s lost the baby and decided she’s going to leave Hyowon no matter what. Yu-Yeon is tasked with looking after Ha-Joon for the time being. Meanwhile, Ji-Yong talks to Jin-Ho at a bar. They discuss the chairman and his differing parental methods, leading to Ji-Yong admitting that he’s going to oust him from the company because Jin-Ho “cant carry the company on his back”....

Capital Ratio Back for its follow-up episode, this financially charged drama returns with a deeper plot and cracks beginning to form in Heo’s character. Although the show suffers from some really slow pacing and the opening 20 minutes do little to really drive this one forward, the tense finish is just enough to keep you coming back for more. Much like fellow TvN drama Black Dog, Money Game feels in danger of meandering through its plot and losing viewers if it keeps up this slow pacing....

The original was inspired by Jean Claude Van Damme but was later changed to the more bloody, fantastical fighter we’ve been graced with today. One of the more prominent and recognizable fighters in the game is that of Johnny Cage. He was actually introduced as an homage to Van Damme’s legacy. Since that title, Mortal Kombat has been a mainstay in the public eye and even found itself in court over its heavy use of gore and violence....

Conspiring Snakes Following the attempt on King Cheoljong’s life, episode 13 of Mr Queen begins with Bong-Hwan rushed back to the palace. While he’s certainly against this idea, Hwa-Jin meanwhile prays with Queen Dowager, promising to gain revenge. Byeong-In checks in with Bong-Hwan who’s worried sick and wants to see the King. Only, there’s limited access to him while he’s bandaged up and receiving treatment. As the Queen walks away, he throws his arms around her and flashbacks from the past bleed through again....

It’s a well acted, aesthetically pleasing film, one that does well to showcase both the artistic prowess of Director Sarthak Dasgupta and give a spotlight for its two lead actors to shine. It achieves this feat beautifully too, delivering a highly enjoyable and dramatic film in the process....

She scoffs, claiming they’re on a date. I’m a Ghost Episode 1 of National Treasure: Edge of History begins in 2001, with an old man named Peter Sadusky talking about an old Aztec treasure. Apparently, the Freemasons used underground tunnels to ferry around Montezuma’s treasure. They separated this out into three different containers – one for the Inca, the Maya and the Aztec. Over time, the relics were lost until now. Apparently a band of hunters are en-route to tracking it down, confirmed by one among their group....
