Political Scheming Intensifies Episode 4 of Mr Queen begins with Bong-Hwan doing well to deflect the King’s pressing questions. Unfortunately, he misses the King spiking her drink. Thankfully, Bong-Hwan figures it out before it’s too late and encourages the King to drink instead. He does so but the King suddenly leans forward and kisses the Queen. Bong-Hwan pushes him off of course but home truths come spilling out nonetheless. Cheoljong realizes she doesn’t know the full extent of the story though and eventually leaves with many questions still floating around his troubled mind....

The Well We begin episode 9 of Mr Queen with Byeong-In walking in on Cheoljong kissing Bong-Hwan. As they move into the bedroom and start knocking items over, Byeong-In retreats but decides to stick around and keep watch outside. Back inside, Bong-Hwan slaps himself in the face, claiming that So-Yong is trying to control her own body again. Eventually the King manages to put Bong-Hwan down to sleep, gently telling the Queen that he’s not able to tell the difference between a dream and reality....

The Big Delivery The business meeting between Kang and Pastor Yo-hwan continues at the start of episode 3 of Narco-Saints. Kang is adamant that he came back to Suriname to make money and recover from his losses. Soon the discussion turns to the business and whether or not Chen Zhen is capable of delivering the cocaine to Kang. I find it fascinating how Pastor Yo-hwan unashamedly twists and turns the Bible to fit his religious propaganda when making a drug deal....

El Fin After The Invisible Guardian and The Legacy of the Bones we’ve finally arrived at the conclusion of the Baztan Trilogy. With a slightly longer run time clocking in at 2 hours 15 minutes, Offering To The Storm serves as a satisfying enough conclusion for those that have followed the story but is still held back by the same issues that have plagued the previous films. Unlike Legacy of the Bones however, the story this time serves as a direct follow-on from the previous movie and certainly isn’t designed for newcomers....

A Raw, Shocking Character-Driven Story Based on a true story, On My Skin is an astonishing, absorbing story about police brutality and the horrors of being alone in a desperate situation. Boasting slick cinematography and some really impressive camera work throughout, On My Skin is a roller-coaster ride of emotion, propped up by a compelling performance by Alessandro Borghi as Stefano Cucchi. The story begins with Stefano cutting pot and cocaine in his apartment before leaving to deal drugs in his car....

This is also the first episode where the trio finds tangible evidence that will absolve them from the murders. But the real question is: can they capitalize? ‘Performance Review’ Poppy uncovers a controversial figure from Mabel’s past, Jimmy Russo. She brings him in for Cinda’s newest podcast where she will implicate Mabel for the murder. In a brief montage, we see our trio one by one, possibly deceiving themselves with stories of their lives....

10 Things I Hate About You Episode 3 of Our Beloved Summer begins with Choi Ung in the hot-seat. With the camera on him, Ung decides to give 10 reasons why he hates Yeon-Su. In order to showcase this, we cut back in time and see moments of Yeon-Su’s various flaws play out. I won’t list them all here but there are 10 in total, spread our across the episode. The thing is, we also see another side of her, which contradicts everything Ung has just said, including moments of her being selfless and romantic....

The Loss Episode 4 of Outer Range begins nine months ago with Wayne receiving a chunk of rock from out west on the Abbott Ranch. After ordering the worker to leave it on the desk, the strange rock seems to have the same black inky markings inside that move around just like what we saw with Autumn’s necklace. So naturally, Wayne picks it up and starts dancing about with it. As you do....

Scars Behind the hedonistic neon lights, slow-mo montages and nudity, there really isn’t a lot of substance to P-Valley. This much is especially evident in episode 2 as our various slice-of-life sub-plots trickle along slowly. This is certainly a shame because this drama has a lot of potential and interesting characters. The episode begins with Mercedes and the other girls doubling their efforts to rake in the cash. In the midst of dollar bills raining down, Clifford’s nephew Corbin arrives to greet his Uncle....

Pam & Tommy Episode 8 Pam & Tommy is a biographical drama following the trials and tribulations following the exploitative sex tape of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee that released at the end of the 90’s. With a twisting narrative, brilliant performances from Lily James and Sebastian Stan help to make this a really engaging watch.
