Doubled Pawns Episode 3 of The Queen’s Gambit begins with glimpses of Beth’s past, including her Mother heading out to the lake and going swimming. It’s a joyous occasion and one that sees a big grin cross Beth’s face as her Mother embraces her. The sound of a ticking clock echoes in the background, snapping her back to reality. Back in the present we’re in Cincinnati 1963 as Beth and Alma arrive at their pleasant room and prepare for the chess tournament to come....

The rehearsal worked a little too well for Remy and Nathan. Nathan now has trouble bonding with the new Adam (real name, Liam). Remy, without a father of his own, thinks of Nathan as his real dad. When Remy’s mom Amber invites Nathan for a visit, Remy is still calling him “daddy.” Nathan and his mom try to explain the concept of acting to him, and he eventually gets it....

Despite the efforts, Moe’s team bites the dust. On his way back, he notices Nelson bullying Martin. Impressed, Moe offers Nelson to join his hockey team. When Nelson refuses, Moe drops a note and leaves. To Moe’s surprise, Nelson shows up just as the game begins. Nelson beats up the opponents – allowing Bart to hit goals easily. Well, the team wins, but the results aren’t acceptable since Nelson didn’t have his skates on....

Yuko’s Trump Card The Terror feels like a show that’s been going through the motions since its dramatic sixth episode. Last week saw the show settle down for a more subdued dose of historical drama and while this week does inject a bit more tension and horror to proceedings, the pacing has been questionable throughout the series. While there are glimmers of brilliance nestled in this 10-part drama, Infamy really needs to step it up and deliver a dramatic finale to justify its run here that seems to have abandoned its horror roots....

While The Theory Of Everything may not do anything groundbreaking technically, the film packs a massive emotional punch as it depicts the rise of Stephen Hawking’s brilliance in this biopic. Part romance and part drama, the fascinating look at Stephen’s life is accompanied with a good soundtrack, a fantastic performance by Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones and a swift pace to the storytelling. Starting with Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) as a child, the film moves through the different times in his life, with particular emphasis on the uphill struggle he and his wife Jane Hawking (Felicity Jones) have to endure as the crippling motor neuron disease takes hold....

As they both head to the same museum together, they end up talking and he dazzles her with his humour and intelligence. As they keep talking, she remains wary of the way he brings out quotes relevant to her and finishes off her sentences....
