A Surprisingly Solid Sport Drama At first glance, First Match looks like another clichéd sport film blending a rise-to-the-top story with a formulaic relationship drama before a triumphant end. As the film starts it certainly begins down this path with hardened Mo (Elvire Emanuelle), a troubled foster care child, turning to wrestling as a positive outlet for her complicated emotional issues. Around the halfway point, First Mach takes a surprisingly unexpected turn and explodes into life, becoming much more emotionally involved and absorbing....

There she meets Sloane, a bartender who is willing to give her work so she can sustain herself. Sloane tries to get to know Amy better and asks where she is from. We learn that Amy is a Texan and looking forward to exploring Florence....

Mohsin attends to a customer’s grievances as he solves the Rubik’s cube that Wendy gave him in the last episode as a sign of respect and maybe some love. Wendy comes in with a horrible hairdo (she does look like a horse), which surprises Mohsin. The reason? Journalists coming in and there might just be a photo op....

Although some of the editing and slick stylish cues are still missing compared to those early episodes, Good Casting continues its narrative with another pretty good episode. Episode 10 of Good Casting begins with Chan-Mi begging the other girls for help in the van while Mi-Soon’s husband starts looking through the windows....
