The Experiments Episode 6 of L.U.C.A.: The Beginning begins with Ji-O being shown the secret lab hidden beneath Human Tech. Instead of heading down though, he starts fighting against Yi-Son. Ji-O uses his electric powers and causes an almighty shock-wave, knocking Yi-Son back. It’s a momentary blast, in truth, as he stand back up and eventually knocks Ji-O out. Scientists rush Ji-O downstairs on a stretcher as he’s brought in to solitary confinement....

Chapter One – The Beginning When it comes to opening scenes of TV shows this year, episode 1 of La Revolution may just boast one of the most gripping and well-shot segments. Our tale begins in France 1789 as a man tries in vain to escape from a blood-soaked horse ridden by a formidable warrior. Slicing the man’s head off, this woman stands victorious as the headless corpse oozes blue blood....

The Rebellion As the penultimate episode rolls round, Leila picks up right where it left off from before, beginning with Bhanu and another man taking a dead body to the dumps. They discuss how Dixit was framed and how that they want to get rid of Joshi. In the slums, word spread that Shalini has been taken to Guru Ma. A trial for Shalini’s crime is being held but Guru tells her she is now beyond purification....

Based on a 5 minute viral video, Lights Out almost outstays its welcome by the end but its simple premise works well to sustain interest. Director David Sandberg does a good job of coming up with some creative uses of the shadow-loving demon and its also refreshing to watch a horror where the main characters aren’t complete inept. The story follows Rebecca (Teresa Palmer) who grows up experiencing strange occurrences where the lights go out....

Little Dramas Everywhere True to its name, Little Fires Everywhere sees wisps of smoke starts to appear as our central ensemble of characters find themselves crumbling under the heat that’s engulfing them all now. Whether it be Linda and Bebe Chow’s ongoing feud over their baby or Lexie and Pearl’s fractured relationship, this drama really comes into its own this week and delivers a surprisingly engrossing slice of drama. We begin episode 5 of Little Fires Everywhere in Paris 1976 with Elena packing her things up and heading back home, with her whole life planned out....

In-joo asks her sister to keep the ledgers and reveal the truth about the Park family but In-kyung threatens to expose Sang-ha’s family and the Jeongran Society if they did something to In-joo....

Chapter 11 Episode 11 of Lost Romance begins with Xiao’En reminiscing about the kiss and Aoran following it with an apology. She thinks of the 100 excuses he could make from ‘I’m sorry.’, ‘Every month there’s a day when I can’t control my mouth’ and ‘Today was that day.’ Eventually it all comes tumbling out into ‘I’m sorry. I actually like men.’ Aoran can’t stop thinking about it either, saying he couldn’t possibly like Xiao’En....

Doxing Episode 14 of Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) Season 2 begins with Seo-Ban sitting with Pi-Young and discussing her current situation. Pi-Young is obviously still reeling from her divorce, but the attention soon turns to the uplifting subject of death. Specifically, the focus is on the passing of Pi-Young’s Mother. Seo-Ban knows how she feels. He mentions his own Mother and how he regrets not scattering her ashes around a tree after she passed....

Crude, Forgettable, Repeat Based on the 2012 French comedy “Plan de Table”, Love Wedding Repeat is the latest Rom-Com by Netflix released this week and had the potential to be quite the interesting movie to check out thanks to its “what if” premise. Boasting a mix between “Groundhog Day” and “Four Wedding and a Funeral”, the movie quickly falls flat with a poorly executed narrative, forced and repetitive jokes and awkward characters interactions....

Marcus Watkins Episode 9 of Love Life Season 2 begins in January 2020. It’s been four years since Marcus’s divorce to Emily and he’s determined to make 2020 his year. Only, fast forward to March and it very much isn’t. Of course, as per most shows in the west now, the obligatory COVID crowbarred episode crops up. Hooray! Marcus leans into the paranoia and worry, encouraging his new roommate to sterilize and wash her hands....

A poignant but discombobulated drama Photographs have an amazing power on our memory. We can look at a picture from our childhood and be taken back to that time. Likewise, we can glance at a photo of our children when they were younger and wonder where the time has gone. On this planet, we’re all given a finite amount of time to experience what this incredible world has to offer but in the end, everything can come tumbling down when the grim reaper comes knocking....

Ghosts Of The Past Love With Flaws returns with another slice of comedy, one that sees Seo-Yeon finally make her choice between the two men in her life after a short-lived love triangle. There’s also a few scenes late on where Seo-Yeon confronts the ghosts from her past but if I’m honest, I’m not sure the darker tone really suits this one. Regardless of that, Love With Flaws continues to entertain, even if its story and various subplots don’t always hit their stride as well as they perhaps should....

Love That Didn’t Hurt Too Much Episode 12 of Mad For Each Other begins with Hwi-Oh returning home to find his ex waiting for him. She’s getting married soon to an accountant, but she’s there just to finalize their divorced. She abandoned him when Hwi-Oh needed her the most, and that’s why she disappeared. Hwi-Oh can see through her tough exterior and knows she’s not fully happy. However, he does wish her well though....

Gargoyle Aside from a couple of exciting moments, Manifest delivers a pretty formulaic episode, one that continues to add layers of mystery to the heart of this one without doing an awful lot to push the narrative forward. To be fair, the final couple of minutes of this episode set things up nicely for the season ahead but beyond that, there isn’t much else to get excited about here. Episode 3 of Manifest begins with Dr Saanvi being stood up by a man named Alex in the past, who left her to fly on 828 by herself....

If she refuses or fails to do this though, her day ends up full of bad luck....
