Physical Season 2 Episode 5 Physical is an interesting dark comedy, set in 1980’s San Diego and following Sheila Rubin as she goes on a journey of self discovery through aerobics. Part of this stems from her husband, who loses his job and decides to run for office. The show is as much a social commentary of what it was like to be a woman in the 80’s as it is a cutting dark comedy, and there are glimmers of series like GLOW in this too....
Composed of sheer workmanship, this album by Populuxe plays on the mind in a good way, and it directs whoever wants to listen to the forefront of their inner beliefs. Uneasy Listening is a clever album, taking slow burn tracks and givng them a boost. While this may not be for everyone, it really is a joyous listen. From the beginning, Uneasy Listening shows so much in terms of rhythm and lyrical craftmanship, and when that acoustic guitar cuts in, it’s never exerted but played with gentle hands instead....
The Con Job Along with Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, Private Lives is the second Wednesday/Thursday Korean drama to be broadcast on Netflix. Based on this showing though, this one is definitely worth sticking around for. Episode 1 of Private Lives begins with a simple narrated introduction about privacy. The White Suit After a couple of tense, cleverly written episodes, Prodigal Son slips back into old ways, with a stand-alone piece chock full of jokes, little tension and one brilliant white suit. Although many will enjoy the 45 minute ride, especially all the death-defying situations Malcolm somehow manages to navigate flawlessly, the show is at its strongest when it deep dives into the psyche of its characters and with that missing this week, we’re left to rely on the, admittedly witty, comedy to prop the episode up....
