The third episode of Handmaid’s Tale is a beautifully directed one too, with a shifting focus between Serena and June throughout depicting just how far these two characters have come, as well as a teasing look at their entwined futures together....

Milk Episode 4 of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 is one of the weakest episodes of the four season run, coming off the back of an emotionally draining climax last time. Here though, we catch up with Janine and June on the train tracks, running away from their captors. There’s no time to mourn their fallen sisters though, as the pair continue to run without Lydia or the guards following. They’re not going to Boston though, but instead stowaway on a train heading West....

In Gilead, Lawrence goes ahead with his New Bethlehem plan. He wants the refugees back and intends to put them on this island....

Don’t Make Me Angry The Incredible Hulk is not a particularly memorable film. Although it does well to present Bruce Banner as an empathetic hero and introduce The Hulk into the fold, it ultimately pales in comparison to other films in this universe. Between some questionable acting, and an overlong script that sags under the weight of mediocity, The Incredible Hulk is not incredible, nor is it a particularly memorable film....

Well, his father approaches the Left State Councilor and bargains with him, pointing out that he’s been loyal and now it’s his turn. Ji-Un is granted his position and he goes about it with little fuss, refusing to speak up despite numerous unfavorable reports from Sangjeonwon regarding Ki-Tae’s awful politics....

The Brass Verdict Why did McSweeney attack Mickey? Episode 10 of The Lincoln Lawyer begins with Mickey Haller being dealt with as a loose end, as he wrestles with McSweeney in the spotlight of the car headlights. Thankfully, Griggs shows up with his officers, breaking this up. McSweeney though, tumbles off the top of the cliff to his doom. Griggs finally gets up to scratch on what’s happening here. Trevor Elliott paid off McSweeney to kill Lara and Jan....

Back at the Maiko House, Mother has a break of character as she instructs an assistant to keep her favorite biscuits stocked. Mother and Mother Azusa discuss how Kiyo is not fit to be a maiko. Mother Azusa asks Kiyo to come to her room to talk, and Kiyo learns that she will not be attending lessons anymore. Mother Azusa suggests that Kiyo return home and find other employment or go to high school....

Anya Episode 7 of The Midnight Club begins with Anya awakening to a brand new reality. She works an uneventful job as a cashier at a supermarket, she has her own apartment and she eats microwave meals. At night, she’s awoken by her neighbour’s baby upstairs. Does she have any goals in life? Well, she still wants to be a ballerina but of course, that’s easier said than done given her situation....

Pregnancies Episode 2 of The Midwich Cuckoos begins two months after the blackout. Deborah’s death hangs heavy over the Hayne’s household, with Paul preparing to visit Jodie. Things are estranged between the two, partly thanks to Paul taking out his grief and anger on her. She’s had enough of it now though, and wants to try and move on with her life. Something is drawing her back to Midwich though. Zoe and Sam’s initial elation at becoming pregnant soon turns to dread when a doctor shows up with DCI Haynes to discuss the night of the blackout....

Mr Westcott’s Stratagem Episode 6 of The Midwich Cuckoos begins with another time jump, this time 2 years after Susannah’s promise to the kids. She’s working with the Mr Westcott, Bryony and Paul, and there appears to be harmony in Midwich. At least for now. Mr Westcott admits that he wants to take some of the kids into a military base several miles out the village to do some tests. He’s confident that they’ll want to go ahead and leave, especially as they’ve been talking in Ward 300 about what lies beyond the village....

An Outsider Knows An Outsider After 9 episodes of simmering tension, the finale of The Outsider sees the final climactic showdown with El Coco commence. Essentially the episode itself splits into two halves, the first seeing a tense stand-off in the parking lot before Ralph and Holly confront El Coco itself. The second half sees the rest of the story threads wrapped up in a neat little bow but in true Stephen King fashion, the ending does feel a little underwhelming despite the ambiguous mid-credit scene....

Home Truths The Purge returns this week with another good episode, blowing away the memory of the first season with a much improved second here as we reach the halfway point. The four different storylines start to grow in tension too and with two of them converging together, the second half of this series looks set to ramp up the drama. We begin with The Bobby Sheridan Show, a radio broadcast with opposing sides questioning The Purge and the recent spate of Off-Purge killings....

Simone tells Lea that Martin and Patrick have left the base while Fie explains to Simone that there is a risk with administrating the cure....

However, midway through talking Daniel bursts out from the trees and warns that his Father is after Simone. She needs their help and time is running out. Although Simone is cornered, the kids rush in and save her at the last second....

Love Yourself Simone & The Gang Episode 5 of The Rain Season 3 begins with Simone walking away from Daniel to get some air. Only, when she hears a twig snapping she realizes Martin is right there. Only, he’s clearly not himself and their reunion is far from happy for him. As they sit and talk, he admits that Rasmus killed Sten and he’s trying to help them. He goes on to exude details about peace and a new world, which Simone senses is a little suspect....

The time had come for the good guys to start writing the script for the bad guys. It was time to trade the luxuries of designer clothes and jewelry for jail jumpsuits and chains. The police now have Nick and Rachel’s names. They arrested him. But the evidence was circumstantial and they found nothing at his house. Rachel was at his father’s house outside the city.
