Physical Season 2 Episode 8 Physical is an interesting dark comedy, set in 1980’s San Diego and following Sheila Rubin as she goes on a journey of self discovery through aerobics. Part of this stems from her husband, who loses his job and decides to run for office. The show is as much a social commentary of what it was like to be a woman in the 80’s as it is a cutting dark comedy, and there are glimmers of series like GLOW in this too....

The Chinese Peacock After a brief hiatus, Prodigal Son returns this week with a pretty good episode, one that certainly subverts expectations with a nice twist at the end while allowing more screen-time for Martin to bleed through after the shocking climax to the previous episode. While this doesn’t come close to the tension felt around the Junkyard Killer all those weeks ago, Prodigal Son continues to deliver a decent enough slice of crime drama....

Love Is Dangerous After a week’s break, Prodigal Son returns with a mixture of surprisingly comedic moments and a taboo plot line revolving around sex. As we approach the midway point of the show, Prodigal Son delivers a more formulaic episode this time around, one that maintains the same level of drama and ends things with Malcolm continuing to be haunted by the ghosts of his past. The episode itself begins with a nightmare involving a strange, shadowy figure and a katana....

Quantum Leap Season 1 Episode 4 Quantum Leap is set in the present day, 30 years after main character Sam Beckett vanished into the Quantum Leap accelerator. This new show is inspired by the original, but doesn’t serve as a reboot, rather as a sequel to the original. The new Quantum Leap sees Dr Song serve as our protagonist, who is experimenting with time leaps within a similar episodic structure as the original....

Happiness Episode 8 of Raised by Wolves Season 2 picks up with Campion copying the words Vrille left behind on the tree branch. Covering the android with rocks, he says his goodbyes and takes off. Meanwhile, Mother brings Marcus to Grandmother, who points out that he’s not as strong as he thinks. “None of us are robot,” He replies. When Father appears, Mother repeats his current plan; she’s going to use the veil to kill Number 7....

Biona Episode 4 of Raising Dion begins in Alabama with a father and son on a farm, surrounded by crops while neighbouring fields are dying and full of withered crops. After showing Pat the picture of the electrified giant, we learn it’s Dion’s birthday. Kat drops off an iPad as a present for the little man before Pat takes him out for a ride. Meanwhile, Malik is offered a job by Nicole; to find the origin of the video....

As Nina tells them to be quiet, she looks at each of them in turn, “The show is over.” Brandao is still alive too and manages to escape the bathroom and winds up in the same room as Jessica, where they sit together and Brandao begins gorging himself with food....

Unnecessarily Convoluted Story Saved By A Good Final Act The first of a planned trilogy, Russian spy thriller Red Sparrow suffers from an unnecessarily convoluted storyline, peppered with violence and nudity to bloat its run time to a little over 130 minutes. Although the narrative takes its time to get going and the wonky Russian accents are a bit of a distraction, Red Sparrow redeems itself with a well worked final act and a few very nice twists along the way....

It looks bad but we soon fast forward in time to find Ambia preparing to head back to work....

The Girl Who Loved Horses Episode 8 of Roar starts out in the wilderness. Jane is obsessed with horses and after riding out across the fields, heads home and finds herself butting heads with her father. She wants her own space but for him, he wants to try and connect with her. Jane spends her time alone, enjoying her own company and drawing horses in her section of the house. However, when her father doesn’t return for an extended period of time, she becomes worried and heads out to investigate....

Flashbacks After yesterday’s dramatic cliffhanger, we return to Rookie Historian with more answers in regards to the arrival of the Western Intruder. Boasting some nicely implemented flashbacks and a good dose of drama, Rookie Historian: Goo Hae-Ryung continues to produce solid, enjoyable material with its latest episode. We begin with Goo asking her Brother what he and Mo-Hwa were talking about in the room but receives a dismissive reply instead. It’s here we jump back in time and see Mo-Hwa’s back-story as she runs out the palace....

A Well Rehearsed, Amusing Routine Mixing captivating stories with his own personal familial drama, Sebastian Maniscalco takes to the stage once again to deliver an hour of amusing anecdotes and physical comedy. It’s a good set too, with spin classes, pregnancy and midnight gas station murders all discussed at length whilst weaving them into a coherent, well told narrative sprinkled with home truths. The special opens with a glitzy entrance and the usual round of applause you’d expect from a star like this....

Ingenuity Africa is a beautiful and incredibly varied continent. From the Saharan desert to the metropolis of South Africa, there’s an abundance of life that lives within these areas. In true David Attenborough style, this emotional showcase of natural beauty comes to a poignant and hard hitting conclusion. It’s an episode that culminates everything we’ve learnt over the weeks and does so in a way that brings into focus the very real dangers animals on our planet now face....

In the present, we pick up from when we ended episode 1. Dale is down on the ground, beaten up. All his belongings are stolen and he has nothing to fall back on. He is helped by a policeman who accompanies him to his hotel after he refuses to go to the hospital. Prabhu spots him coming in quite timely and gets Dale out of the establishment. The reason for the same is that this particular policeman is corrupt and will ask for bribes from him....

She-Hulk Episode 8 She-Hulk: Attorney At Law marks the final TV venture for Phase 4, with the adventures of She-Hulk. We know there will be some big cameos in this series, including Abomination, Bruce Banner and Daredevil, but the focus is squarely on Jennifer Walters, a woman who navigates a complicated life of being a single, 30-something attorney who finds being the 6-foot-7 inch superpowered Hulk a bit of an inconvenience....

Lipstick We begin episode 1 of She Would Never Know with a brief meeting as Chae Hyun-Seung and Yoon Song-A pitch their cosmetic brands. Song-A still looks at Hyun-Seung as a kid but as they get the bus home, he can’t help but look at her fondly. Well, the pair continue to work together, joining their team in the office for the latest news. It turns out Soo-Mi as been dating their assistant manager for 3 years and keeping it a secret....

Some of the bigger mysteries aren’t fully explained by the end though, but there are just enough answers to leave satisfied by the end. It’s best to forget about seasons 10 and 11, which are nowhere near the quality of the original 90’s run. How Long Is This Show? The X-Files has 11 full-length seasons, each with 42 minute episodes. The first 4 seasons have 24 episodes, before seasons 5-9 drop that to between 20 and 22....
