One of the night creatures is confused, wondering why Isaac is having them bury the bodies. He’s got them going against their nature, forced to rebuild the town and change their ways. Will the night creatures be capable of change? Isaac seems to think so, and he pedals this idea through the notion of eating berries....

Death Magic Episode 8 of Castlevania Season 4 marks the beginning of the end. Ratko and his forces arrive and make short work of the humans cowering underground. Blood is spilled but Belmont quickly interjects and helps fight back. While this is going on, Saint Germain opens the portal to the Infinite Corridor, using the sacrificed souls outside Dracula’s castle as fuel. What he clearly didn’t bank on however, is Alucard getting involved and fighting so valiantly against the hell beasts raining down on the castle....

From Kyoto Episode 9 of Chainsaw Man begins where we left off the strange woman and sworded gentleman (Katana Man) finishing off Himeno and wounding Hayakawa. Suddenly, Denji awakens as Chainsaw Man and fights Katana Man. It appears the woman and Katana Man are after Denji’s heart. Power has also fled the scene. Suddenly, more yakuza arrive to assist Katana Man. Denji grabs one of them and threatens to hurt them if Katana Man dares move 1mm....

Losing Senses As predicted, yesterday’s episode of Chocolate ultimately served as a chance to catch our breath before plunging back into the drama again. There’s a good amount of plot development here too, as Kang’s Aunt arrives early on and stirs up trouble and a shock involving Cha-Young late on throws a further spanner in the works and big question marks around the future of her culinary career. The episode itself begins with Lee Kang’s Aunt arriving at the hospice and immediately stirring up trouble, convincing Kang that he should contact Su-Hui’s family and get them to sue the hospice and Director Kwon; that way it gives him incentive to shut down the hospice....

First Learn Stand Episode 2 of Cobra Kai Season 4 starts with Johnny and Daniel both falling out over their teaching methods. In order to remedy that, they decide to teach each other their styles and synchronize this into one cohesive, free-flowing form of karate. That’s the idea, anyway. Speaking of synchronizing, Robby begins teaching the Miyagi “Wax On Wax Off” method at Cobra Kai. This, combined with core Cobra Kai principles of aggression and striking first, launch them into a brand new style we haven’t seen before....

Cutie Pie Episode 7 Cutie Pie is a comedic romantic Thai drama, one that combines these elements with a simple but effective story. That plot centers on two sons who get engaged to each other. Only, one of them doesn’t want an arranged marriage, prompting the other to try and win him over. Step forward Hia Lian and Kuea Keerati, our two protagonists. The pair are fiancées with an age difference of 7 years but while everyone who meets them claims the pair are a “match made in heaven”, Lian doesn’t see it that way....

Chee says an awkward goodbye to Bernadette, who gets emotional when he says “I have nothing, here”. His promotion to the D.C. office has been confirmed by Whitover. Bernadette also has a confrontation with Leaphorn for not telling her about Chee. She felt that it might have put her in danger. Nakai provokes Leaphorn by saying he couldn’t save his son when the Lieutenant shows him the photos of Anna and Tso, whom James killed....

Mid-Season Fight For Supremacy Episode 5 of Daybreak begins with an animated introduction, ending with a Japanese-styled theme hanging over the entire episode. We begin with Wes and Josh discussing the homecoming dance and what to do with all the rescued prisoners. As they talk, we cut back and see Wes and Turbo together and being intimate. The latter however, is hell-bent on killing Josh and offers Wes an ultimatum – kill Josh or see everyone die at the hands of Turbo....

Accelerando, Accelerating Episode 5 of Do You Like Brahms begins with Joon-Young sitting in front of the crowd and uncomfortably trying to work out what song to play. Eventually he decides to play Chopin’s Ballade No. 3. After the show, Song-A is called away by the Director leaving Joon-Young to talk with Jung-Kyung privately. She tells him she wanted to hear Traumerei again but Joon-Young simply tells her that song doesn’t matter to him anymore....

Borrowed Plots and Being Shot In The Foot The past few weeks have seen Doctor Who get back into its groove and find its feet after a rocky opening few episodes. The question of whether this is thanks to Chris Chibnall not writing is answered tonight as he takes back the pen to write this series finale. Despite a promising start, the final episode fails to ignite excitement and urgency, instead regressing back to the expository-laden dialogue that his stories have had in abundance this year....

Partners? Episode 6 of Dom Season 1 begins in the past, moments after Pedro’s release from prison. What should be a joyous occasion is tinged with uneasiness. Pedro is a shell of the man he once was. His experience in juvie has changed him, and despite accepting a cell phone from his father as a gift, still hasn’t forgiven Victor for what’s happened. It doesn’t take long for him to head back out to the favela and catch up with Lico....

By-The-Numbers But Creepy Nonetheless Don’t Listen feels like a Frankenstein’s Monster of various other horror movies spliced together. Between the gnarly stitches lie influences of Insidious, The Conjuring, Hole In The Ground and, more recently, Come Play. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though and the distinct Spanish flavour to this medley of influences creates a pretty well-structured and relatively scary flick. While horror enthusiasts will undoubtedly see all the narrative beats coming a mile away, there’s some creepy moments in here nonetheless....

Around and Around We Go Episode 9 of Doom at Your Service begins with Myul-Mang reflecting back on his time on Earth, wishing he was less deity and more human. Unfortunately this pipedream comes to an end when Myul-Mang realizes he’s just meant to watch; observe these humans as they play out their lives. Meanwhile, the love triangle continues as Ji-Na grabs her things to head outside and see Hyun-Kyu. They sit together in a coffee house where Ji-Na reflects on how they broke up in the past....

Cyborg’s Turmoil We begin this week’s episode of Doom Patrol at The Ant Farm. This secret government branch have apprehended Cyborg and after a meeting with a hamburger-eating army General, we get a good look at this operation. As the experiments intensify and Victor is thrown into a jail cell, he gets talking to the man in the cell next to his, simply referred to as 722. Meanwhile the guys at Doom Manor try to come up with a plan to break Cyborg free....

Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 4 Doom Patrol returns with a bang, as our favourite misfits look set to tackle quite the threats this year. Cyborg has now regained his full humanity but at the cost of his cybernetic implants. By comparison, Jane no longer has access to her powerful alternate personalities. If that wan’t enoguh, the start of this season saw our characters take a time machine to the future....

They’re clearly discussing Pierre Cadault in a manner that suggests as though the designer is probably dead after that mysterious turning point at the end of the previous episode. In a surprising turn of events, he is still alive, and they are visiting him at a hospital and not taking him to his final resting place....
