Kate Beckinsale is the only spark in this lifeless thriller Jolt is not a good film. While it does have its entertaining moments, it’s also bogged down by an abundance of plot holes, paper-thin characterization and some genuinely stupid twists. At the center of of this budget Atomic Blonde is Kate Beckinsale who does her best to prop this film up. Her portrayal of Lindy is actually pretty good, with enough charisma and wise-cracks to at least make her scenes enjoyable to watch....

All the Devils Are Here Episode 4 of Jupiter’s Legacy season 1 begins with Chloe out partying. Only, she’s outshone by Janna (aka. Ghost Beam) arriving and introducing herself. With Nick by her side, the pair head up to see the other heroes partying but none of them are particularly happy to see her. Chloe immediately squares up to Sierra and unfortunately all hell breaks loose. Powers are thrown around, prompting Nick to jump in and freeze everything to prevent a full scale riot....

Full of interesting juxtapositions, fights and the truth slowly starting to be revealed after so much deceit, Little Fires Everywhere delivers a brilliant hour of drama that sets the scene nicely for the remaining episodes in this series. An Incredible Fantasy Adaptation When it comes to adapting great works of literature to the big screen, J.R.R. Tolkein’s fantasy epic Lord Of The Rings has to be up there with the best. Clocking in at a little under 3 hours, Fellowship Of The Ring is the first part of a trilogy of films perfectly capturing everything that made the books so good. With fully fleshed out characters, a faithfully recreated story and some truly remarkable visual effects, Fellowship Of The Ring is simple an incredible film and a crowning achievement for Director Peter Jackson....

Legal Loopholes & Loopy Lunatics Lords of Scam is the latest documentary movie on Netflix, diving in to a pretty unique case involving a group of EU scammers. Across the 1 hour 45 minute run-time, this film looks at the men behind a scheme that conned the carbon quota system. In doing so, these scammers managed to lay their hands on millions, thanks to a loophole with VAT. But boy does this film takes its sweet time to get to the good stuff....

Pokemon Meets Monster Hunter World Love, Death & Robots’ first episode takes us to the grimy underworld of “beastie” fighting .In an episode that feels like a combination of Pokemon and Monster Hunter World, Sonnie’s Edge is, on the surface at least, an episode used to showcase the impressive visual flair of the episode. The story itself sees a battle hardened woman called Sonnie entering a monster arena with her chosen “Beastie”, battling against a menacing behemoth, brought to the arena by a foul mouthed bald man....

A Whole New World Ice Age may not have the most original premise but what it does do is take this concept and add some visual flair to it, making for a really beautiful episode. With strong themes around humanity’s end and our possible future, Love, Death & Robots keeps its consistency running throughout this episode. In many ways, Ice Age isn’t like a lot of the other episodes here....

A New Bag! Episode 13 of Love begins with Sa-Hyun back at Song Won’s place after she awakens from her drunken black out. She makes him some beef porridge and eventually the pair have fried eggs. This is a significant moment, as we find out that Hye-Ryung looked at Sa-Hyun with disdain when he stumbled home drunk and refused to make him some when he asked. As the two eat, Sa-Hyun offers to do the dishes....

The Love Triangle Love With Flaws has had quite the rocky run so far. This time around though, the show doubles down on its drama and starts to weave deeper ties of romance into the story. It’s a pretty important occurrence too, especially given all the misunderstandings that dominated the early parts of this show. After apologizing, the episodes open with Seo Yeon slapping Kang and running away, prompting Kang to run after her....

After sharing my impressions with each individual episode, the full season of Luther is ultimately another casualty in a long list of shows that start out promisingly and eventually squander their potential. It’s a shame too as this season featured some really nice set pieces, helped along by the interwoven stories for Luther to deal with....
