In collaboration with Netflix, fans are able to see shows like Indian Predator, a documentary that narrates the story of criminals from different parts of the country. We also see Netflix’s Delhi Crime which is a dramatization of the real-life True Crime stories that put the country on a stand-still from time to time. Starting 2023 with a bang is another similar Netflix Original mini-series that highlights another such well-known Indian tragedy that gripped the nation in the 1990’s. The upcoming show follows the 1997 Uphaar Cinema fire which is called to be worst fire tragedies in recent Indian history. Trial By Fire will be available to watch in India as well as the rest of the world on Netflix. The show is an Original documentary and is produced by the streaming giants for release this January.

Trial By Fire will release globally on Friday 13th January at 12am (IST) / 1:30 pm (ET) Each episode of Trial By Fire will have a run-time of around 48 minutes by approximate. Also expect episodes to drop with subtitles too.
How Many Episodes Will Trial By Fire Have?
While there have been no revelations about the number of episodes the Mini-Series will have, it has been revealed that the total runtime of the show will be 316 minutes. This means that the show could have anywhere between five 60 minute long chapters or eight 40-minute-long episodes. We will be sure to update this section once Netflix releases more information about the mini-series. The show revolves around the Uphaar Cinema fire due to which 59 people that were trapped inside the cinema hall all died of asphyxiation. Not only that but it was reported that there were 103 more victims who were seriously injured in the resulting stampede due to suffocation. The show follows the story of the novel, Trial by Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy by Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, parents who lost their two minor children to the tragedy.
